From 1986 to 1999 the Royal Mint issued an annual medal to mark a notable centenary falling in that year. Each medal was issued in both Silver and Bronze. The diameter of all medals was 63mm. The number of silver medals issued each year was 2500. The number of bronze medals issued each year was 5000.
