This is a small group with routine but distinctive sprigs.
I have seen 2, 4 (two shapes) and
6 pint jugs, all with seemingly identical handle terminal, windmill and jug
waving toper but two slight variants of Toby.
I also have a tobacco jar with most
of the same group but Toby replaced by a thinking (sleeping?) toper.
Although
very similar in style they vary in quality of moulding and production may span
several decades. 1840s to 1860s?
I suspect a London origin but need to see
more variants.
