Unidentified Maker 1 - Jug 1
5 pint and 4 pint jugs. Many of these sprigs appear identical to ones found on jugs that can be ascribed to Bourne of Denby. These include the huntsman, fox in covert and windmill.
This jug (height 8.5 inches, so 4 pints) was sold on Ebay and confirms the Derbyshire, presumably Bourne, attribution. The windmill seems unique to Bourne. The gold decoration is a very unusual feature on salt glaze but identical decoration has been recorded on two other Bourne jugs with regular handle terminals.
