BANS Autumn Weekend 2017

The Autumn Weekend of the British Association of Numismatic Societies this year will take place in Shrewsbury at the Lion Hotel which is situated in the centre of the town. It will run over the weekend of Friday 8th September to Sunday 10th September and, as someone who has attended BANS events in the past, I very much hope you will be able to join us.
An excellent programme of lectures has been arranged over the three days including, Martin Allen, Joe Bispham, Anna Brennand of the Ironbridge Museum Trust and Joe Cribb. A full programme will be available over the coming weeks and the talks will offer a good range of subjects to cater for all manner of interests.
The hotel is a sixteenth-century coaching inn right in the heart of Shrewsbury which is itself one of the most historic towns in the area with a rich numismatic heritage. A selection of double and single rooms is available and all offer en suite facilities. Limited car parking is available at the back of the hotel.
The full cost of the weekend, which will include en suite accommodation, all meals and of course the lectures, will be £215 for a single room with a double being £320.
